My goal with this painting was to place warm colors in the light and cool colors in the shadows create the sense of sunlight and depth throughout this garden scene. Highly saturated color draws attention to the focal passage, while less saturated, beautiful grays, provide balance and support. This interplay of temperature, saturation, and fragmented brushwork directs the viewer through the painting. 🎨🌸
